Wimberley Square: Shops, Wineries & Live Music | Gaines Ranch
The Square
Where boutique lodging meets the heart of Wimberley.
Most Hill Country stays leave you in the car. Gaines Ranch on the Square doesn't. We're at 204 Wimberley Square — steps from the shops, galleries, restaurants, live music, and weekend market that make Wimberley one of the most-loved small towns in Texas.
Park once. Walk everywhere. That's the whole idea.

What's Around the Square
Wimberley Square is the original town center — anchored by independent boutiques, art galleries, antique shops, and family-run restaurants. On the first Saturday of every month from March through December, Wimberley Market Days takes over Lions Field with 490 booths on 20 oak-shaded acres — the Texas Hill Country's largest outdoor market, run by the Wimberley Lions Club. Year-round, you'll find live music, wine tastings, and small-town events that draw in regulars from Austin and San Antonio.
Within a short drive: Cypress Creek, Blue Hole Regional Park, Jacob's Well, the Wimberley Glassworks, and a growing list of Hill Country wineries and distilleries.
Henson Square
A short walk from your suite, our family also owns Henson Square — a small plaza tucked just off the main Square. Home of Jaclynn Renée Wine Collective, Wildflower, Texaholic, and Nightbird, with regular live music in the courtyard on weekends and event nights. Worth wandering through whether you're shopping, sipping, or just chasing the music.

Why Stay on the Square
You can find a Hill Country cabin almost anywhere. You can't find one on Wimberley Square. That's our edge — and it's why we built Gaines Ranch on the Square here. Every suite, the courtyard, the front porch swings — all of it sits in the most walkable, most photographed corner of one of Texas's best small towns.
